Basketry is one of the most ancient crafts practiced by humans, originally making containers from the simplest local materials to carry and store food. Basketry has evolved greatly as an art form since then and we all probably use baskets in our everyday lives for a myriad of uses. So let’s learn how to make one! Working with flat reed, we’ll weave a simple basket that will be a useful container for fruit, bread, or your latest knitting project!
