In this six-week course, you will learn the basics of observational drawing. Learn different techniques like cross-hatching, blending, and contour drawing with an emphasis on drawing from life. Together we’ll gain new knowledge on how to capture different textures, fabrics, and 3D shapes in shades of grey. With introductions to new materials every week, join us in starting your journey in drawing, or strengthen your current practice.

Supplies List:

• Paper: Pad of Strathmore Drawing (300 or 400 series), Medium texture. 9” x 12”
• Graphite set: minimum 4: HB – 4B up 6B (example: Derwent Graphite Sketching Pencils Set of 4) Conte: Black, White, Sanguine (Conté a Paris Conte Crayons Sketching Set of 4)
