Basketry is one of the most ancient crafts practiced by humans, originally making containers from the simplest local materials to carry and store food. Basketry has evolved greatly as an art form since then and we all probably use baskets in our everyday lives for a myriad of uses. In this course we'll explore several methods of making baskets: coiling, twining and weaving, while also  developing proficiency working with a variety of different materials.
