In this class we’ll be looking at the basics of creating mosaics for function and beauty. We’ll learn how to plan out designs (or go freestyle!), and what types of tiles (ceramic, vitreous glass) work best in different situations. We’ll also learn how to cut the tiles, how to place them for best effect, and how to grout to complete the project. Everyone will have the chance to complete two coasters or small trivets using the crazy paving and roman byzantine styles.
