    Description: This wire-wrapped pendants workshop teaches a variety of basic techniques to secure both un-drilled beads and irregular shaped stones using wire. Skills will include creating cages, making bezel frames, forming bails, and receiving tips on how to professionally finish your pendants. Tools and materials will be provided. While all skill levels are welcome, this course is designed for those new to making wire wrapped jewelry.

    Description: Learn basic jewelry-making and explore a variety of mixed media techniques, while creating 5 pieces of jewelry inspired by famous artists. Participants will be encouraged to create their own designs, using the tools and materials provided. All skill levels are welcome.

    Week 1: Vincent van Gogh
    * A Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art.
    * Bead a pair of earrings using Celestial-themed materials and colours inspired by his painting, "The Starry Night".

    Week 2: Georgia O'Keeffe
    * Called the Mother of American modernism, she gained international recognition for her paintings of natural forms.
    * Paint a pair of Lucite flower earrings using Alcohol Ink colours inspired by her floral themed paintings.

    Week 3: Pablo Picasso
    * A Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, and ceramicist, was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
    * Make a wire sculpted cuff bracelet inspired by his Cubism period.

    Week 4: Emily Carr
    * A Canadian painter especially interested in the Pacific Northwest.
    * Create a necklace incorporating natural materials and colours inspired by her painting, "Forest, British Columbia".

    Week 5: Claude Monet
    * A French painter and founder of Impressionism, painting nature as he perceived it.
    * Use watercolour paints in colours inspired by his "Water Lilies" murals to make a glass domed pendant.
