  If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at an age-old practice of drawing portraiture, this course is the perfect choice for you. Over six weeks, we will be learning how to simplify and understand the human face, as well as practicing tips to make your portraits stand out. While this class will have an emphasis on self-portraiture and working from life, we will also have chances to work from photograph. Whether you want to learn realism, or develop your own style, this class will nurture your creativity and have you creating portraits you love. This class is beginner friendly!

  Supply List:

  • A drawing pad (9x12 or similar size, with approx. 24 sheets)

  • A set of drawing pencils (At least four pencils: HB, 3B, 2H, B – the set should read similar to these, but they don’t need to be exactly that)

  • Eraser

  • Pencil sharpener

  Please note: 

  • Attending the full class term is the responsibility of the student. No refunds or credits are issued for missing classes and educators will not schedule any additional instructor-led make-up classes.
  • Refunds are issued up to two weeks before your class starts.  After this period there are no refunds.

  Do you love to send out holiday cards as a part of your celebrations? Are you interested in adding a touch of home-made to your holiday or birthday gifts this coming year? Join us for a holiday card linocut workshop with Baz! Together we'll learn the basics of linocut, and create a design that we can use to decorate our holiday cards for many years to come. Whether you're a beginner or have done lino before, this session is welcoming of all skill levels, and makes for an incredible experience to share with a friend or family member. Come prepared with ideas and inspiration for your piece!
