Participants will dye a large silk scarf using wax-resist to separate the colour layers and create patterns. Wax is added in subsequent layers as additional colours of dyes are added to the fabric.
Please note due to drying time variability, this duration is an estimate. It may be a little longer or shorter depending on the weather and other factors.

This class will introduce students to the techniques used to make a simple wall mounted wire tree using readily available tools and materials. The skills learned can inspire and equip students to pursue more complex projects on their own. A variety of mounting options and more advanced techniques will be demonstrated and discussed.

In this workshop, participants will create a delicate felted flower brooch using fine merino wool and decorative fibres and fabric. We will explore shaping techniques, layering, and surface design to create a lightweight, sculptural piece that can be worn or gifted.This workshop is suitable for beginners, and no prior felting experience is required.

This mixed media collage workshop is designed to offer maximum creative freedom, allowing participants to blend various materials and techniques to create unique, textured, and expressive art pieces. In this workshop, for artists new to Soft Pastel or with some experience,
we'll explore creating art based on identifying shapes and layering. We'll
start with a short introduction to soft pastel materials and work from urban
scene source material to assist in composition and inspiration.
Please note that the Pastels in this course are NOT Oil Pastels.

Explore meaningful memories through intuitive, process-based acrylic painting in this reflective workshop for adults. Rather than focusing on realism, participants will use colour, layering, and abstraction to express the emotional essence of a memory. Through gentle prompts and guided exploration, we will experiment with painting different emotions, building layers of meaning, and allowing shapes, atmosphere, and feeling to emerge on the canvas. Open to all skill levels.

Explore the exciting technique of linocut! Together we'll use small carving tools to cut into linoleum, and create a beautiful print block that can be used many times over. This printing style has been used for almost two centuries, and produces a striking, graphic finish. Come prepared with ideas, print-outs, and inspiration for your piece!
